The number of bee boxes you use depends on your preference and what you’re trying to achieve. A combination of medium and deep bee boxes is commonly used. One factor to keep in mind as you are deciding is that honey gets very heavy, which is why 8-frame bee boxes have become popular with backyard beekeepers. Our most durable deep frames feature black heavy waxed plastic foundations, are fully assembled, and ready to use. Less delicate than natural wax foundations, they are easier to handle during honey extraction.
