LLL Filament Buffer: Optimized Remote Feeding Device for 3D Printers
The LLL Filament Buffer is designed specifically for remote filament feeding in 3D printers, aiming to simplify the loading and unloading of filament. This buffer is equipped with two buttons for electric feeding and retracting operations.
Buffer Function:
When the 3D printer’s extruder feeds filament and pulls on the distant filament spool, the buffer detects this action and automatically sends a segment of filament towards the hot end. Each time this pulling occurs, the buffer repeats the feeding operation. This effectively reduces the pulling force on the filament by the extruder, maintaining stable pushing force and thereby enhancing the stability of print quality.
Filament Break Detection Function:
The buffer has a built-in filament break detector. When it detects that there is no filament inside the buffer, it sends a signal to the 3D printer to pause printing. To use this function, it is necessary to connect signal pins and modify the 3D printer’s configuration. However, the buffer function can be used directly without any configuration changes.
With these design features, the LLL Filament Buffer not only simplifies filament handling but also improves the stability and quality of the 3D printing process.
