For success, you will need nesting blocks that were used the previous season and then cleaned and sanitized for this year. If not, they will only partially fill available nesting holes, or they will abandon the nesting site and search for a nest that smells more like home.

Put them out when the daytime temperature reaches 75 degrees. They will locate crops to pollinate and live for approximately eight weeks. If it is under 70 degrees F outside, let your Leaf Cutter bee cocoons stay inside your house and put them out; when it is 70 degrees F plus most days, take them outside to your Leaf Cutter bee nest, where they will hatch in few weeks.
If you are pollinating early crops like fruit and nuts or when temperatures range from 50-80 degrees, you’ll need Mason bees.
