101+SWAMP ASTER Seeds Perennial Native Wildflower Summer Fall Garden Poor Soils

SWAMP ASTER. This is a long lived attractive American Native Wildflower. The plant height is variable from 3-5′ and they get 2′-3′ wide. They can be found along roadsides, edges of woods, marshes, lake shores and riversides. This is a tough as nails plant that will grow in regular garden soils without any problem but prefer alkaline conditions. Also, can be used in a bog or water garden as they tolerate flooding at the roots. Large flat-topped clusters of 2″-3″ light purple-blue flowers in late summer through fall. Very attractive to late summer/fall butterflies and Bee’s.100+ seeds per order.

Some American Native Wildflower seeds need to go through a cold winter to germinate. This plant is one of them. They do this so the seed won’t sprout in fall, only to have the seedling not make it through a cold winter. I have stratified these seeds to simulate a cold winter(stratification) This raises the germination rate considerably. Thanks for looking!!
